A small practice, and that is the point
Calpe has clinics with ten dentists and shared diaries. OdontoSmile works the other way round. Dr Chillán diagnoses, treats and follows up herself, so nobody has to catch up on your notes before starting. For an implant or a course of orthodontics that runs over months, that continuity is the difference between a treatment and a series of separate appointments.
The practice is on Calle Letonia, a short walk from Levante beach, next door to Restaurante Ni Hao. Consultations take place in English, Spanish or French, without an interpreter and without bringing someone along to translate.
We do not publish a price list, because an implant or a course of orthodontics depends on the state of each mouth and a headline figure tends to mislead. At the first visit your mouth is examined, the options are explained and you receive a written quote before anything starts.

In the practice
Intraoral scanner, no impression paste
Taking a mould of the mouth has been the least pleasant part of a dental visit for decades: a tray full of paste, several minutes without being able to swallow and, if you are lucky, one usable attempt. An intraoral scanner replaces that with a small camera that travels along the arch and builds the model on screen. You see the result there and then, any area can be redone on its own, and there is no gagging.

We visited OdontoSmile quite spontaneously with our 11-year old — his permanent tooth (canine) started growing above the baby tooth, so we needed help quickly. Luckily, the doctors had a small gap between patients and were able to help us immediately, which we really appreciated. The procedure took literally just a couple of minutes. Everything was done so professionally and gently that our child didn't even have time to get scared. The doctors were very kind, calming him down and explaining everything in such a reassuring way. We left with only the best impressions. Huge thanks to the team for their professionalism, care, and quick help. We will definitely be coming back.
